Anti-privatization sub-committee representatives to meet in June
Delegates from AUPE Locals’ Anti-Privatization
sub-committees from throughout the province will gather on June 7 in
Edmonton to trade ideas on how to fight privatization.
Sub-committee members who attend the one-day
meeting at AUPE Headquarters in Edmonton will be given copies of AUPE’s
new Anti-Privatization Kit, which provides members with a template for
responding to privatization attempts in their working areas.
Registration forms will be mailed to all AUPE local executives before the end of February.
The agenda will review the function and
responsibilities of the Standing Anti-Privatization Committee and those
of the local sub-committees, review the Anti-Privatization Tool Kit,
manual and Website. In addition, there will be a panel discussion with
presenters yet to be named.
