AUPE President criticizes “regressive” labour relations amendments
EDMONTON – Alberta Union of Provincial Employees President Doug Knight called the Labour Relations Amendment Act introduced today a “regressive piece of legislation that ignores the wishes of 24,000 Albertans that recently signed petitions demanding fair labour laws in Alberta.”

Court of Queen’s Bench upholds AUPE bid to overturn Labour Board decisions
EDMONTON – The Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench has overturned a 2006 decision of the Alberta Labour Relations Board that moved certain classifications of health care workers from membership in the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees to another union.
$500 prize on offer for best video about privatization
EDMONTON – The Anti-Privatization Committee of the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees is offering a $500 prize to the creator of the best video of three minutes or less that makes fun of health care privatization.
